My MIL got in today to help us out around the house for the week. Her first task was to make me a grocery list and tell me to go shopping while she stays with DD. I don't want to leave my LO at all! How do I get out of this without offending my MIL? She is not helping me relax at all...I don't want to be away from LO and I don't need my alone time!

She just made a list of the things she thinks you need and ordered you to go buy them? Or you asked her to make a list? Because if it's really the first one, no need to find a polite way to tell her to do it herself!
