Rainer John is here! Labor story; long

Actually, he was here on the 21st but I have barely even looked at a computer since!

It was quite the ride. We got admitted again for my high BP and mild preclampsia at exactly week 37 on a Tuesday evening. They induced labor that night with the 12 hour cervix effacer drug since I was only at 1 CM. In the morning they started dilating me with another drug. By 4 pm Wednesday i was at 3 CM and they were ready to start the pitocin drip, I was contracting but wasnt really feeling them. At 11pm they broke my water and soon labor contractions really started. We were able to do au natural for awhile; my night nurse checked me at around 4am and said I was 78cm and we were progressing as hoped. But then my midwife came in and checked me and I was barely at 5 CM. So I opted for an epidural. I was afraid I wasn't going to be able to have the energy to push when it came time.

Turns out it didn't matter....

I was in labor all of next day until 5pm when I still wasnt able to get past 9cm and my tired uterus was slowing down and the contractions to 6 min apart!! On top of that LO had Flipped and turned so he was sunny side up and his head was Crooked nWhen my midwife had me try a trial push my cervix actually shrank to 7cm and LO moved backwards from my cervix.

At this point the doctor on call was called in and it was determined I needed an emergency c section.

Rainer John was born on Thursday March 21 at 7:31 pm. He was 7lbs 14 oz. I can't imagine how big he would have been of we made it to 40 weeks. Labor was crazy I pretty much had every experienced the full array of labor experiences natural, induction, water breaking etc.. I'm glad my bf and I went into labor with a very loose wishes and just went with the flow. It made an already difficult labor less stressful.

We are home now and doing great!

I want to add PIP to show him I everyone but I don't know how.
