Who wants more?

H thinks I'm insane for thinking I want to go through this again. I must admit, it was a lot easier when I was in my 20s than now (33). I don't want to get too far passed 2yrs between this lo and a future one. My ute has an expiration date. The Bakery closes when I turn 36 if not ku again.

We're large, uncomfortable and nearing the finish line (or just crossed). Who is considering this crazy ride again?  How long do you plan to wait before trying again?

If somebody thinks they're a hedgehog, presumably you just give 'em a mirror and a few pictures of hedgehogs and tell them to sort it out for themselves.-Douglas Adams

Re: Who wants more?

  • We will, of course, welcome any future "surprises," but PLAN to expand our family through adoption, if we decide to have more than two.

  • I've always wanted 3. DH only wants 2. We'll have to see how this one goes to see if we'll have another or not. I think I'd want the next one a little closer but not by much so that would put me at 34 or 35 for my last kid.
  • I applaude your craziness. This is only my second. My first son is only 16 months old and I am due on he 18th. This whole second pregnancy has been a nightmare. I have been in constant pain in my pelvic area since christmas and they can't do anything
  • There is no way I can do this again.  If my pregnancy with DD had been this difficult we'd be one and done.  So, I am making DH get a vasectomy at some point in the near future.  Even though we had to use fertility treatments to get PG both

  • My hubby and I just had this conversation last night! Im 37 weeks with DS2, and 27 years old. I was 23 with DS1. Im always achy and feel so old. I think 33 years old is the latest Ill allow. We both want more, but realized we shouldnt have waited so long
  • I'm 25, DH is 26, and this is our first. We'd like 3 ideally. We'll probably wait until this one is 2 1/2 or so to start trying again. 3 years between kids seems like a good stretch to me, plus maybe I'll be excited about pregnancy again by then haha!

  • This is our first, and I know we want at least one more. I am 26, will be 27 in May, and this pregnancy has been hard but not completely impossible to handle. I really want our kids to be close in age, and I'd ideally like to have another before I turn 30

  • I'm not saying never because I definitely want more than one... But this has been a hell of a first pregnancy and not in a good way, not that I have anything to compare it to. I'm young, I have SO much time to have more, I just don't want them to be to fa
  • I am 33 the hubby is a bit older at 40 but if we can afford another one after our son is born we would definitely have one more!  I guess we will just have to see how it works out and focus on our son before we jump into having another, but if we can
  • I would love to adopt in about 5 years but I have no desire to get pregnant again. Shop's closed.

  • I am so done after this one. My oldest is 16 and my current youngest is 9. Then we will have a newborn. I just turned 36 and just don't want to put my body throught this again. I handled my other pregnancies better, probably because I was younger lol.

As of right now we want one more, only something horrible in the delivery room would make a difference. This is our first and I do have GD which sucks but everything else was fine with my pregnancy. Probably wait minimum of 2 years and I will be close to
  • We all know I am crazy but when Jonah is about a year old we will either adopt or try for a 6th. I want a big family.

  • I love being pregnant so I would, but pretty sure 2 will be it for us.  I'm 33, we barely have room for this one and financially it would be difficult to have more.  I don't think my body feels older this time though and I've strangely been less
  • At 35 now, I'm already considered "advanced maternal age" which is why we got pg when DD was only a year old.  I'm 99% certain 2 is the extent of our kids, but I'm not ready to commit to irreversible birth control just yet.  And I really don't w

  • I originally wanted 3-5, FI wanted 2-3, so I settled on 3 (whether or not he likes it) unless it's not financially feasible. This is number 1, and I just turned 25, FI is 37. We'll start trying when this LO is 2, and then again after that one is 2. </p

  • This is our first, and hubby and I would love a larger family. I'm 28 and he's 38 so, the player in this is knowing my hubby wants to keep feeling active and energetic while our kiddos are young and be there for them as we both grow older. So we're aiming

  • Still team one and done.

It would have to be a very, very epic surprise to alter this plan.  Very epic.  No, even more epic than that.

The word you're looking for is SEX.  I promise.  No, it's not gender.  It's sex.  You're welcome.
  • I will consider trying for one more in 3 years. That would be two children for us. I would love to adopt a toddler or older child after the two. That's a dream of mine. But I really only want to go through two pregnancies.

  • We want at least two and are on the fence about a possible third down the road. I'd like the two to be close together, so we'll probably start trying again once this LO turns 1 1/2 or 2... which seems so soon! *IF* we try for a third, it will be a bit dow
  • MH is already talking number 2 lol. Probably in a couple of years. I think I want to get through potty training before having another one.

  • One and done, definitely. This has been a surprisingly easy pregnancy for me, but I already feel like I am cheating fate at 42. I will be 60 when this kid is 18. A very, very strong incentive to take good care of myself and stay healthy...and not have any
