I am a soon to be FTM. I am at 41 weeks today and am thinking about using a breast pump to try to induce labour. Has anyone used this technique to induce labour? I know it can be a long shot and baby most likely won't come until ready, but I'm really wanting to go into labour before I have to be medically induced? Also, if I pump and colostrum comes out, would this leave less colostrum for baby when born? Or would/could it harm our nursing relationship in any way?
Any input would be great. Thank you :

Colostrum will be produced until after the baby is born and your milk is signaled to come in, so don't worry about taking any if you pump now.
