Cord stump vent

My LO is 4 weeks old today and that stupid thing still hasn't fallen off. I'm gonna go crazy!! It's yellow at the base where it's directly connected. My guess is that they didn't put the dye far enough down? My pedi's nurse told us at his 2 week appt to use alcohol every diaper change. But he has such a deep innie that I feel like it never has time to dry out. So I just swab it one time a day and leave it alone. Other mommas on the bump said they just left theirs alone too.

When did your LO's stump fall off. Tell me I'm not the only one? I'm just really hoping he doesn't have to get it cauterized.

LO's cord fell off at 7 days. We were told that alcohol swabbing would lengthen the time it took for the cord to fall off and only to swab if pee got on it. Otherwise, we left it alone.

We left it alone and it fell off in about about a week. I was told not to use alcohol at all.

Ours fell off at 7 days. We used alcohol every diaper change. It oozed for 2 to 3 more days and then was completely healed.

Dd's is still on and she is 2 weeks today. Had an appointment today, and the Dr swabbed it while we were there and said I could swab it with alcohol if I wanted to, but i didn't have to if I didn't want to.

LO's fell off at 11 days. I didn't ever swab it with alcohol. It just fell off on its own.
