I was just thinking about birth control after pregnancy. Myself I am getting my tubes tied I am done I have a boy and a girl. I was wondering what everyone's plans were after? And I wanted to say that after my DS was born I tried the depo shot and it was not good it caused me to go into the baby blues 5 or 6 months post pregnancy.

We use pullout and something like FAM. I don't take hormonal BC, and don't "trust" in IUDs. And don't like condoms.

I am not allowed to take hormonal bc so it's either back to condoms or the non hormonal IUD. I think if we go back to condoms I can probably talk hubby into peanut number two quicker.

It took me a VERY long time to get pg, so I imagine we'll not do anything to prevent another baby. Not that we'll rush into a planned one, but we sure aren't going to do anything to prevent it either.

Paraguard IUD. No more hormonal bc for me. On a sidenote, I have never known anyone IRL who uses the withdrawal method. I would think that would be even worse than condoms.

The mini-pill I took while still BFing caused my supply to severly dip. Then, the "regular" pill messed me up something serious, so I'll be looking into other options, but I'll cross that bridge later.

I had the Mirena IUD in between my last two pregnancies. It was ok except spotting more often than not... That said - I will prob get the copper IUD after this one. We are done - but like a PP... If all my kids were killed in an accident or something..

Will probably defo use the pull out method or condoms lol. I had the copper coil that caused cramps, I was on the pill which I got pregnant on but had a miscarriage and I'm now currently 22 weeks pregnant even though I had the injection lol.

Depo shot made me a crazy bipolar ***! And it made sex hurt sooo badly. Felt like ripping open a scab every time. Going to try something nonhormonal so I'm not so snippy with the hubs.

Just plain 'ol condoms. i was on the pill for 10 years and I did not like how I felt going off of it and how long it took me to regulate and feel "normal". I told DH I would not be going on it again after the baby.
