How often do you go for U/S after released from RE?

How often do you typically go for U/S and or check-ups with the OB after you get release from the RE.  I will have gone 4 weeks without seeing my OB by the time my next appt.  Just wanting see what the normal is.  Thanks!!!

Re: How often do you go for U/S after released from RE?

  • I think it depends on your clinic/OB. I despise my clinic but average practice is only one ultrasound per trimester. I don't like it at all. So I have had one done in my regular clinic, and then I have had one done at my specialist. I am due for my sec

  • I think up until 28 or 30 weeks, you only see the OB once every 4 weeks.  Seems like a long time after you're used to being at the RE's office almost every day!

As for u/s, that will depend on the practice.  Some will only want t

  • Just NT scan and anatomy scan if all is well as far as I know.  Here is my timeline:

7 weeks - released from RE

8 weeks - chat with OB, doppler, NT scan set for 12 weeks, 4 days

11 weeks, 4 days - Bleeding!  NT scan mo

  • every four weeks and u/s will be the anatomy scan at 20 weeks after that no more u/s and then when u hit 30 weeks its every 2 weeks and I think 36 weeks on is every week.

  • I go very often and get ultrasounds weekly or every 2 weeks, but that's due to my specific history. I think the norm in a healthy, low-risk pregnancy is an appointment once every 4 weeks (until 3rd tri) and 1-2 ultrasounds.
    IUIs #1-3 (1x unmedicated, 2x Clomid) = 2 BFNs, 1 m/c at 7w3d

    TTC #2 March - August 2015 = all BFNs

Prep for FET #1: Aug 2015: found "mass" in uterus on saline sonogram; scheduled a hysteroscopy to remove.

Sept 2015: Hysteroscopy: mass turned out to be scar tissue(?), all removed. Recheck saline sonogram 2 weeks later showed "stuff" still in uterus (more scar tissue? remnants from surgery? Will see if clears with a period). Recheck saline sonogram 1 week later: all clear! Start Lupron and Estrace. Follow up u/s 2 weeks later: uterine lining only 5mm, add in patches. Follow up u/s 1 week later: uterine lining = 4.3mm (argh!), stop estrace and patches and start estradiol injections twice/week. Follow up u/s 2 weeks later: uterine lining = 5mm :/ Instructed to keep on estradiol injections and recheck in 5 days = lining still at 5mm. Need to make a decision - go for it? Or toss in the towel w/ this cycle and start all over again next year with a new protocol. Decided to go for it as we had 17 frosties; what have we got to lose??
