High heels for toddlers?

I just went to the shoe store to get DD some new shoes, and was shocked to see they had high heels in her size (and smaller). Why on earth are these even a thing? And who is cruel enough to put a wobbly kid in pointy-heeled shoes?

I get that they have the same shoe styles in all of the kid sizes, and that very low heels may not be inappropriate for a 10 year old, but why would they carry that style in baby/toddler size shoes?

Psh.. I struggle in heels as is. As adorable as they sound, it's pretty ridiculous in practice.

I saw some on a commercial! I figured it must just be an adult shoe that looks small, because no way they'd make heels for a toddler! Crazy!

Aside from the fact that i just don't think they are age appropriate, long term use of high heels can cause irreparable damage to the bones and ligaments in your feet. They might be fine for playing dress up or the occasional special occasion but I would

OP, I'm with you. I went shoe shopping for DD this morning and actually had a difficult time finding dressy shoes that DIDN'T have heels. I think it's a horrible idea and borderline trashy.
