Teddie and Tessie?

Are these two names too close for siblings? My daughter is Tessie and I can't get Theodora out of my mind and I love the nickname Teddie or Tea as she gets bigger. My sister and I had matchy names - Katey and Kassie so I don't mind that so much. Thoughts?

Not a fan.

"Teddie" for a girl doesn't sound right to me anyway... reminds me of lingerie. Not that classy imo. I do love the name Theodora.

I know a girl named Teddy and it fits her perfectly. I think the two names would be fine as siblings.

I prefer Theo for the nn, but you are right that Teddie and Tessie are no worse than your and your sister's names, so if they don't bother you, I say go for it.

My BFF is Tedra, I always think of it as an updated Theodora.

Tessie and Teddie is a bit much. Tessie and Thea/Dora is great.

It's not my style, and they are close... but since it's a nickname, I wouldn't worry about that as much.

I love Theodora and the NN Teddie, but it does sound really matchy-matchy with Tessie. I think it might also be hard on the LOs to tell who you're calling if you're shouting across the house or playground.
