2 kids and not enough time

When DD1 was born, I really felt like we made the most of our time in the evenings after daycare/work.  We'd play, work on tummy time, or sitting up, eating, etc.  Now that DD2 is here, I just feel like DD2 just isn't getting the time she needs.  Now when I get home, my time ends up being devoted to DD1 (she's whiney, or hungry and I have to make dinner, or she wants to show me something, etc) and DD2 just isn't getting the time I had with DD1.  We're supposed to be doing stretching exercises, and tummy time, and working on sitting up, and it just seems like none of that is happening.

Anyone else feel that way, what did you do?

  • We are in the exact same boat. I always feel that DS is getting the short-end of the stick. Fortunately, I'm very lucky that my little guy is really chill and independent, he was also very mobile early on.

Thanks for the link.  Our daycare is actually based on that philosophy, so DD2 does get a l

  • It's just the way it is with two kids, you do what you can.  Just try to integrate DD2 into your life.  Give her tummy time while you're playing on the floor with DD1, etc.  Get DD1 involved in helping DD2 with tummy time or stretching--

  • I think you need to trust that your LO is getting the developmental activities she needs during the day at DC.  They should be working on tummy time and sitting up, etc.  It is tough having 2 kids, no lie.  Everyday is like a mad dash when
