How to say no?

While I absolutely love that everyone wants to come see our kiddo, the endless stream of visitors is wearing me thin. He's only 6 days old so I don't want him around a bunch of people anyway, and I haven't gotten more than a 2 hour stretch of sleep in well over a week now. I don't exactly feeling like entertaining constantly, but I'm having major issues telling people no. How are you guys saying no without feeling like a butt?

    We had 23 individual visitors in the hospital and some came multiple times!

    I would just say... No. I haven't been terrific at it, but reached a breaking point and finally told everyone including my family that we were taking a "day off". It was received a lot better than I expected, and we used it twice more since sweetcheeks is

    I welcomed the visitors.  Took showers and naps during that time.  When I didn't want them I blamed the kid and said he was having a bad day and lets pick another day.

    DH helped with family saying no that I was tired or we've had too many visitors and we just needed alone time. When friends or coworkers ask me, I just tell them we've had a rough night or that I'm expecting family if I don't want anyone over. It's worked

    My husband comes from a large family and we have gotten a lot of requests for people to stop by. DH and I have been on the same page and we just tell them the truth..that it is not a good time and ask if they can come a different day or in a week or two.
