Induction advice

Hello. I mostly lurk on this board, but I am a FTM, and 41w today. I'm doing my best to stay patient, as none of the natural methods have worked for me. My dr. will let me go to 42w, and as every day goes by, induction is becoming more and more likely for me. I was planning on an intervention free birth, but I have heard all of the horror stories about Pitocin and induction interventions.

Anyone on here have successful induction stories? Were you able to manage the pain without medication? Just looking for some encouragement. TIA!

Looks like I spoke too soon. My water broke tonight before I went to bed. We are hanging out at the house waiting to see if we can get some contractions going before heading to the hospital!
