Here is the mixing valve I mentioned in the FFFC...this is the adjustable one...

You adjust it by using the little dial on the bottom.  It is a little trial and error at first...

    Thanks.  I'm going to talk with DH about it.  Having the sink in his bedroom really makes me worry, but DH doesn't want to shut off the hot water to that sink.

    This is a good option, you can almost dial it down to all cold water, but leave a little hot just so the water in the pipes keeps moving = )

    I just saw what you write. Thank you! I hate to adjust the whole thing because I like my shower extremely hot, hotter than I should I just can't help it. I will show this to DH tonight
