... outdoor toys!

I have an in-home daycare and there are so many state restrictions about slides/swings/climbers/jungle gyms that we can't make it work in our backyard. Our yard is all grass too, so ride-on toys don't work the best back there. Neither does chalk.

Can you recommend your child's favorite backyard toys (infant through 3 years old) or activities? Sandbox? Playhouse? General ideas or specific brands both welcome. Thanks!

My LO loves her giant bouncy ball and her pretend lawn mower. When she was younger she loved any sort of ball, those tube tunnel things (not sure at all what they are called), bubbles...I can't really think of much else. We just got her a metal swing set

Ditto big, bouncy balls. Also, bubbles. DS has a little plastic golf set he's always liked. We also have a little table and chairs set that is fun for snacks, coloring or doing other crafts outside. We've also filled the big plastic pools with balls for a

I agree with the ball recommendations. My daughter loves them, too. How about some of the soft tee ball sets? Plastic bowling sets? Would the Aqua Doodle mats work on the grass?

Definitely balls and bubbles, and the bowling set would be a great idea, too. I think this year we're going to get some hula hoops and maybe a little t-ball set. I know my friend's kids have a little Fisher Price gold set they love.
