WWS12D? re: clothes for future seasons

So I have some Kohls cash and gift cards, and I'm looking online at the boys' clearance stuff.  I found a coat, mittens and hat that would be perfect for next winter for CHEAP, but I'm not sure what size to order.

If DS is wearing mostly 9 mo. stuff now (with some 6 mo thrown in there, although it's too short and a little snug) would you order 18 mo or 24 mo?

  • Hazel is wearing 6 and 9 month clothes about the same right now and I have her a 12 month coat for next year. Maaaaaybe you'll need an 18, but I'd be shocked if you needed 24 months. It is outerwear which is generally made to go over clothes and if it is

  • I've been battling myself with the idea of buying future clothes. With so much on clearance I would love to stock her closet for next year but can't figure out what size she will be wearing. She's in 9, 12, & occassionally 18 month pants depending on

  • We bought a coat for next year and it was 1218 mo. I thought if it was a little big that would be OK to fit over other clothes. DS wears 69 mos right now but I have noticed his growth slowing down and that he has been wearing some of his current clothes s

  • I can only base this on experience with my first. He didnt really grow much since about 10 months. We are in 12 to 18 months clothes and I don't see that changing any time soon.

I would try to buy big for outerwear. Those are ok bulky.

  • Well I think I'm getting the 18m.  Can't beat a warm jacket, hat and mittens for $15!

  • I bought dd a 2t coat that was on sale for 12.50 at BBB. I figured since she's tiny now for her age she will fit in the coat even at 30 mos.

James shot through his 0-12mo clothes but wore 12-18 for longer. That said, he was still done with 12-18 before he was 18mo. I usually buy outwear big to make sure it lasts all winter. If you live somewhere where you still need a winter coat in March,

  • While I love the idea of buying on sale, DD has thwarted every attempt I've made to guess her future size so far.  So, for me, I'd rather hold off and pay more than risk buying something that I will get no use from because she's outgrown it already o
