Eczema

E is in the middle of a pretty bad break out. It's his worst so far, poor guy. We have a prescription hydrocortisone that we're using and I have aveeno's eczema lotion.

Any other tricks to help him clear up and feel better?

  • Hydrocortisone let it sit for a few minutes. CeraVe cream not lotion.

  • I found Aveeno made my kid's eczema worse. Sad

    We just started using Babyganics "Bye Bye Dry" Moisturizing Eczema Cream and it's awesome.

  • I've struggled with eczema my whole life. Here's what works for me: keep baths lukewarm and avoid harsh soaps. I use fragrance free sensitive skin Dove soap. I also use Tide Free and Clear detergent. After bathing, in the morning, and before bed I put Aqu
  • Aveeno just made things worse for my dd. Every night we slather her in eucerin original healing soothing repair creme and aquaphor. It has helped a lot. We use hydrcotisone on outbreaks.

  • Thanks for the advice. We have aquaphor and hydrocortisone so ill ditch the aveeno and see if that helps.
  • We put olive oil in his bath water. That seems to help a lot. Soap only for hair and privates, and only a bit of oil instead of lotion, plus prescription cream.

    Eczema sucks, sorry.

  • The only thing that worked for us was a bleach bath. My mom had suggested it, as I had (and do still at times) terrible eczema as a toddler. I was so nervous to try it much my mom explained that is is basically like putting them in a poo
