Did you start with a separate toddler-sized toilet for potty training or one that goes on a regular toilet? Also, do you have a specific brand you'd recommend?
We bought a seperate potty at first, the Baby Bjorn potty. DD didn't show much interest in it so I bought a potty ring from Babies R'Us to go on the toilit. She prefers that much more than the Baby Bjorn and it cost less too.
We took DD shopping to pick out her own potty, to really get her interested, and invested in it. I don't know the brand, but it had the Disney princesses on it.

Well, that's a lie. We bought the little potty. He has never used it for anything other than toy storage and a play thing, Wasn't worth it. When he was ready to potty train he just wanted to go right to the real thing.
