Was just curious what everyone is up to this weekend. We are hanging out at home. I wish i was not sick I think it would have been fun to do First Night Monterey with DD.
New years day I am making home made beans. That is it for us.
If you are staying home how do you make it special?
Re: New Years Plans?
Mama's Clone - 07/18/12
I am not a huge fan of going out on NYE anymore, it's too hectic. I think the last time we went out was probably before E was born. the first year we were together we went to Sea of Dreams in SF and it was awesome! I would do that again in the future, this year is a fabulous line up Btw.
We are in SD, spending it with family, no big plans.
DH and I are doing an early dinner out together while my mom watched Riley. We should be home in time to ring in the new year for NY with them. I plan on doing a ballon drop and apple cider. It should be fun and I think Riley will really love it.
We are having a "party" at home. Which means we will have appetizers around the tree, a fire, watch movies, play games, drink... Martinelli's for Alex and the real thing for Mama! I'll let Alex stay up late.
We are having a delicious pepperoni bread appetizer followed by crab pasta and ceasar salad. I'm deviating from my normal NYE menu, I'm bored of it.
I've got everything but will hit up the dollar store early tomorrow for horns & hats!
we're taking the munchkin to a NYE party at noon at the local air museum, they'll have a balloon drop at noon and jumpy houses and lots of fun stuff.
and maybe find some crabs somewhere
We are being boring tonight and getting Chinese food and hanging out with my mom. I am hoping that we can stay awake until midnight, but I know DH will need a catnap.
Tomorrow we will be watching the Niner game and begin storing Christmas.
DD2: February 2014
We're going to a friend of DH's house, I know the wife, but not the husband. They are having a kid friendly party, so we will be bringing the boys with us. I anticipate going home really early and drinking before I go to bed, while struggling to stay awake until midnight.
Tomorrow I plan on making black eyed peas it's a family tradition from the South where my Grandma is from.
Same thing we do every night, Pinky ( these days at least): lie on the ouch and try not to barf.
Happy new year!
