I have ALWAYS wanted to name a future child after my grandmother, Ellen. Unfortunately, my last name is Kelly and I'm afraid "Ellie Kelly" will earn quite a bit of teasing. Should I just let it go? My husband thinks I'm ridiculous. I know we could go with Elle or some variation, but I have a hard time thinking I'll be able to avoid Ellie. So, is it that bad?
Re: Be honest. How bad is...
I thought of "Helen Keller" before "Ellie Kelly". I really don't think it's a big deal that they rhyme since Ellie is only a nickname.
