Pleased with my mommy instincts

The last 3 days Raylan has been awful at night. During the day he's normal-ish... a little fussier than normal but still napping ok and not having big meltdowns or anything...but come bedtime, holy moly watch out. I've been getting no sleep, he's been getting no sleep, it's been terrible. I finally told DH that I was taking him to the dr. whether he agreed or not (I'd suggested it the second day) because I needed to make sure it wasn't his ears. I've had TONS of ear infections and I know how much worse they hurt at night and when you're laying down. DH wasn't super thrilled but said "there's nothing wrong with him, but if you need to clear your conscience go ahead and take him." Yup- double ear infections. Poor guy, so glad I stuck to my guns. Here's hoping that between his RX and the correct dosage of tylenol (I was giving him about 2/3 of what he can have now) he will get some rest and so will I.

Yea Petunia!! No one wants their child to be diagnosed with something - but when the dignosis comes it's almost a relief because you knew something was just off. Good job on following your gut - and I hope you all sleep much better tonight!

We are in the same boat with the ear infections unfortunately. I knew something was wrong, but I felt bad because I thought it was the start of teething (which it is as well) Hope your little man gets better soon & kudos to you for stickin
