Already eating crow..

So I always expected to go past my due date, and I was ok with that. Everyone is all like, 'just you wait, by 40 weeks you will be climbing up the walls wanting the baby out'. But I was convinced that I would be a zen momma.

 Well I take it back.  I want the baby out. 

My husband is driving me nuts, every time I sigh or shift or anything he asks me if I'm having contractions. He works out of state and can take as much time home as we need, but he's worried about what's happening at work while he's gone, and how much money he is not making (he gets a day rate while on site).  He is stressing me the eff out.

My mother is just as bad. Its her first grandchild, and even though normally she is a pretty reasonable women, she is over the top about this.  She had two Very overdue children, 12 and 10 days, she of ll people should know babies come when they want.  She has called me and texted, and last night she called my hubs because I didn't answer.  I was at yoga.  

I'm only a day past my due date. This is why pregnant women get so sick of being pregnant.  On top of everything from the neck down being swollen and sore, they go from being miracle makers to the pods holding grandchildren hostage.

    Couldn't have said ANY of that better myself!

    Still committted to going as late as necessary (until I run up against medical reasons), but it's a LOT more difficult than I thought it would be.

    I feel the same way! Always thought would want the baby in there as long as possible but now I am so anxious for him to come out. Every little contraction or pain I convince myself I am in labor. Then there is the pressure of everyone calling and texting

    I love that saying! "Pods holding grandchildren hostage" I just laughed out loud and it hurt my little tear and stitches!

    It's true...

    I'm barely 39 weeks pregnant and I get the most annoying phone calls from my mother when she sees one of our cars out the driveway down the street. "Are you on your way to the hospital?" "You said you would call me before you leave!"
