Babies on the Brain

I'm sick of the pregnancy police (vent)

These are women I work with who are really beginning to annoy me.

We have an illness going through the school and I was told 4 times today to make sure I'm washing my hands, etc. "You need to be careful, Mrs. C.  Make sure you're washing your hands!  You don't want to get sick!"

I mean, seriously, do I look stupid or like I'm 8 years old and have an aversion to water?

I'm also sick of having my lunch monitored on a daily basis.  I swear one woman is counting how many fruits and veggies I have in my lunch some days.  I'm going to throat punch her.

  • Being a teacher myself, I think our profession is known for being nosey and being control-freak know-it-alls. I mean, how else do we handle classrooms full of crazy kids each day? I can't imagine how frustrating that is though--I hate being told what to do, espeically by people who don't matter in the grand scheme of my life. Perhaps a good telling off would make you feel better? Or the throat punch.

  • Why is it that everyone has an opinion on two things: weddings and pregnancies.  Everyone has to give you their two cents, so annoying.

  • Oh, and another one is constantly telling me to put my feet up when I'm in the staff lounge.  I started calling her "mom" in a not so nice way last week.

  • You should eat a Big Mac, fries, and a coke in front of them one day for lunch and tell them you fully plan on washing your hands after your next smoke break.  I hate when people act like that.

Punching is necessary. Go for it.

    Yup, definitely. Lots of punching.

  • That's really annoying.  I bet they have no idea just how much though.

  • The veggie police lady would hate me.  I can't go in my fridge hence I don't really eat lots of fruits or veggies unless they are on a take out sandwich.  And the sandwich (lunchmeat ::gasp::) brings up a whole new set of rules...LOL

Haha Aunti!  You just described my step-mom to a T.  (She's a teacher as well)
