Generic Diaper Reviews??

So we've got a little stockpile of diapers going, but I didn't want to get too many of any one kind before LO arrives. I know I love Pampers, and we have a good amount of BRU diapers stocked up from sales they've had that I couldn't pass up, plus we have some random other brands of diapers that friends have given us.

I'm just curious what cheaper (mainly generic) brands STMs have tried, and your opinions on them.  Up & Up, BRU, Costco, etc...? Any kinds you loved? Hated? And what about Luv's? I've seen good and bad reviews for them, would love to hear opinions and experiences with all these brands.  I know different diapers work for different babies and I'm not going to know what works for mine till she's here, but I'd just love to hear that saving money on diapers is possible without sacrificing quality too much.

Re: Generic Diaper Reviews??

  • I find that it really just depends on the baby. With DD I used Kirkland brand the whole time and I loved them. With my DS I have to used Huggies Little Movers during the day and Pampers extra protection at night because that boy can fill a diaper and gene

The word you're looking for is SEX.  I promise.  No, it's not gender.  It's sex.  You're welcome.
  • I've tried out a few different generic brands and like some more than others...... I like the Up & Up ones and the Walmart Brand Parents Choice. They are cheaper and you can definitely feel that when they fill up with pee, but for the most part, they

  • When we need disposables for some reason, we always go for Up & Up brand. I wouldn't use Luvs if they were free. They are so full of chemicals and fragrance that they smell super strong. Bleh.

  • We had good success with Up and Up and Kirklands, from Costco. We not longer belong to costco, so we will probably go with up and up for our generic.

  • We use Luvs for DD and have loved them. The fit is very similar to pampers probably because they're made by the same company. We've had very few issues with leaks and they are reasonably priced.

  • We have used Up & Up since 6 months and they've worked well. We've had a few blowouts, but we had plenty with Pampers too. Usually meant it was time to upsize.  I don't love the Target brand wipes because they seem a little thin which makes it ha

  • I agree that it is baby-dependent.  Our situation was that we tried clothe diapers, actually, and find that when they finally fit DD#1 (at first they were too big even though they were designed to fit newborns to toddlers and be adjustable, so the
