I just got a letter in the mail from our insurance provider. It said that Elliot has missed a vaccine and that I needed to make an appointment to get it as soon as possible.
It went on to warn me that if I refuse to vaccinate and Elliot gets an illness or medical condition as a result of my "noncompliance with recommended vaccination schedules" then the insurance can refuse to cover the medical bills.
For the record- We vaccinate. We just had a major issue with the old pedi and Elliot didn't get his 4 and 6 month vaccines until he was 8 and 9 months old.
But I find it interesting that insurance companies (or at least ours) are fighting back against parents that refuse to vaccinate.
WDYT?
