Eye floaters

Has anyone else experienced these recently?  They started last week and they are very intermittent.  I've had them a couple times a day in the past week.  And they are mostly when I am looking at something brigher than my surroundings - computer screen, driving on a sunny day, etc.  I don't have a headache at all, but today my eyes started hurting as well.

I plan on bringing it up to my doctor at my appointment on Thursday.  But, figured I'd ask to see if any of you had experienced this... Everything I've seen online either says it's nothing or it's pre-e (although some of that info doesn't mesh up).
