U/S and Dad Update

Yesterday, I had my 2nd u/s appointment with my RE and everything looked great. She saw the fetal pole and also saw a heartbeat (113). She said that I'm not as far along as she originally thought and said that with IUI it is sometimes hard to exactly pinpoint ovulation day. So my EDD has been changed to 10/08/2013. For some reason, those 3 days make a big difference now, but hopefully in November they won't even matter. I just a little letdown because I would finally be 7 weeks today, but no, now only 6 weeks 4 days.
Last week I posted that my dad was in the hospital. Well his health worsened over the days and finally on Friday, my sister and I made the difficult decision to remove him from the ventilator per his wishes stated in his living will. He passed away only 20 minutes after removing the ventilator. It was heartbreaking to watch him take his last breaths, but I'm glad I was there to be by his side. Between making funeral arrangements and cleaning out his home, I have been going through a lot. DH keeps telling me to not stress, to relax and take it one day at a time. His services will be on Saturday. I just never imagined I'd be burying my last living parent, when I'm finally pregnant. My child will have no grandparents or even great grandparents on my side of the family. 
Just needed to vent a little. Very few people know about us being pregnant and I can't speak to anyone about what I'm going through emotionally. Just want to say, for all of you that have amazing parents, hug them a little tighter the next time you see them or make sure to tell you love them. You never know when they'll be gone.

Beta #2 2/8/13 - 586! , Beta #3 2/10/13 = 1898. First u/s perfect little heart beat at 116 bpm. Measure 6 weeks 1 day. EDD 10/14/13
3/4/13 measuring right on track beautiful heartbeat 171 bpm, graduated from RE to OB... bittersweet.

I am SO SO SO incredibly sorry for your loss. This is just not fair. It's not fair to have to bury a parent to begin with and it's doubly hard when pregnant (and that's an understatement).

05/28/12-Diagnosed with Hypothyroidism. 75 mcg Synthroid.

Oh, I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. I am sending you the biggest hugs I can. I lost my mom a couple of years ago, and my husband lost his dad not much before that. We both have only one surviving parent left, and no great grand parents either.

Tried to conceive on our own for a year before moving on to fertility treatments. Dx unexplained. About 10 months of procedures, shots, and countless doctor appointments, we got our BFP! BFN on 5 IUI's
IVF#1 - ER 09/14/12, ET 09/17/12: two 8 cells, BFP: 9/28 Beta#1 56.8; 10/2 Beta#2 284; 10/5 Beta#3 939; 10/9 Beta #4 4967. One baby on board with EDD 06/07/13!
**TTC #1 Sep 2009-Feb 2013** Me: 33 DH: 32 (healthy, SA = normal)
DX (May 2010) = Lap #1 showed Stage I-II endometriosis. HSG normal. Tx with 6 mo Lupron (which did nothing...) Lap #2 June 2011 to remove endo, uterine fibroid, and polyp
IUI #1-#3 (July-Sep 2011): All Clomid 50 mg + unmonitored IUI = All BFN
October 2011 - April 2012: Outta $$$ (no insurance coverage) = back to tryin' on our own
May 2012 - August 2012: Mental break from trying

TTC #2 March - August 2015 = all BFNs
Prep for FET #1: Aug 2015: found "mass" in uterus on saline sonogram; scheduled a hysteroscopy to remove.
Sept 2015: Hysteroscopy: mass turned out to be scar tissue(?), all removed. Recheck saline sonogram 2 weeks later showed "stuff" still in uterus (more scar tissue? remnants from surgery? Will see if clears with a period). Recheck saline sonogram 1 week later: all clear! Start Lupron and Estrace. Follow up u/s 2 weeks later: uterine lining only 5mm, add in patches. Follow up u/s 1 week later: uterine lining = 4.3mm (argh!), stop estrace and patches and start estradiol injections twice/week. Follow up u/s 2 weeks later: uterine lining = 5mm
Instructed to keep on estradiol injections and recheck in 5 days = lining still at 5mm. Need to make a decision - go for it? Or toss in the towel w/ this cycle and start all over again next year with a new protocol. Decided to go for it as we had 17 frosties; what have we got to lose??
12/2/15 = transferred 1 perfect Grade B blast
12/9/15 = HPT - BFP!!!!
Beta #1 12/11/15: 236 Beta #2 12/14/15: 503 Please stick little one!!!!
U/S scheduled for week of 1/4/16
5/09- Off BCP, 5/09-9/09- No period, 9/09-9/10- Lots of Tests & accupuncture

1/11- IUI #2 Menopur = BFP, 2/11 missed mc at 9 weeks, D&C
5/11- Operative Hysteroscopy to remove uterine septum
6/11- IUI #3 Menopur = BFP, 8/11 missed mc at 11 weeks, D&C
1/12- Lap and Operative Hysteroscopy to remove uterine septum (again) & scar tissue
2/12- Stint Removal, 3/12 repeat SHG and HSG- showed scar tissue blocking right tube
4/12- Operative hysteroscopy (again), RE said he can now see right tube (yay!)
5/12- Stint removal, 6/12 repeat SHG and HSG-both tubes are open!
8/12- IUI #4 Bravelle = BFN
9/12-IUI #5 Bravelle = BFN
1/13- IVF #1, micro-flare protocol, 7R, 6F, 5dt of 2 AA embryos, 1 to freeze = BFP

I'm so sorry about your dad; I know it's tough. I lost my mom 7 years ago and it was extremely stressful (and I was not pregnant, so I can only imagine how that intensifies things). Take care of yourself (and allow YH to take care of you).
