Name Opinion-Please be honest!

We are having a boy and I found a name that I love, but haven't been able to "sell" MH on it just yet. He likes it, but he thinks it sounds too much like a last name (although I don't think I have ever known a person with this as their last name).

We want to run it by people to see what they think, but the problem is that we aren't telling anyone our name until he is born. So I said I would come ask the ladies here, since you all will keep our secret! We want something a little different and not too common. What do you think?

I like it. Funnily enough Angelina and Brad don't come to mind first. I think of Greg Maddux who was one of the best pitchers of all time. Perhaps that's what your husband is thinking of.

I know 2 boys in my area with that name. I think it's a fine name, I just probably wouldn't choose it (for my child) b/c I already know 2.

I like the name Maddox. It is a guilty pleasure of mine. My mind does go to Brad and Angelina.

I know a baby Maddox. It's NMS but I certainly don't hate it. It's unique (as unique as you can be when a celebrity has a child with the same name) without being too out there.
