Vacation sleeping arrangments

Hello,

We are going to a beach vacation and my dd still sleeps in a crib, so I am looking for ideas on what she can sleep in when we travel. She is tall, 37 inches, and she is 30 pounds.

She is too big for our pack and play.

Any ideas? thanks so much

  • When my kids were still in cribs we rented cribs when we went on vacation.
  • I put DD2 in a twin sized bed with a bedrail last summer (a month before she turned 2).  She actually stayed in it amazingly well, even when I put her down awake.  She was in a crib at home until about a month ago.  With DD1 at that age, I

  • We just went to Mexico all inclusive and I was worried too, the pack and play they had was huge, almost the size our the crib at home and she did great.  My friends have purchased rails and took those on vacation and attached to the pull out bed.

  • When DD was still in a crib we just rented a crib.  Aside from that we also bedshared.  She would be exhausted from the day, getting her to fall asleep in a bed wasn't an issue and then I would join her later on.

  • We just took our first trip with DD and at the time she was still in a crib.  She slept in one of the double beds with pillows around her.  I was nervous about it but she slept really well and when we got home we changed her into a toddler bed a

  • We always just make sure the hotel has 2 beds - DH and I are in one and DD goes in the other.  We put pillows around her so she can't roll off, and she's always been fine.
  • When it was just DS we'd get a King and he'd sleep with us. Now that we have the baby we get 2 fulls and take a baby each, though DS1 could sleep on a floor mattress.
  • We are in th same pickle. I recently saw a travel toddler's bed, like a blowup mattress with sides...I am thinking about buying one.
