  My LO had tubes put in at five months old. he had a ton of fluid which caused severe hearing loss (failed his hearing test at birth). it was a super quick surgery... ten minutes at the most. and he was back to himself the next day.

  I was told she would get them at 5 months but her ear canals are too narrow and she would have permanent hearing loss. He is pushing for 8 months.

  My son got them at 8 months.  He literally had an ear infection for two months. Three different types of anitiotics (including direct shots) and nothing would get rid of it. Best decision ever....he is so happy, is now hitting his milestones, ha

  Thanks for the reassurance.  My daughter had eye surgery when she was about 14 months so this should be a walk in the park in comparison, still, I can't help but worry.
