I don't have experience, but wanted to say you probably won't need extra absorbency at night in the NB stage since they will be up every few hours. I would save your money for when they are sleeping longer. :]
I didn't use the nb workhorse but I love their fitteds and PFs and I think most people here would say the same. Once your LO is STTN, you'll probably want more absorbency that a GMD fitted though.
