Eczema?

I noticed some dry patches on LO's cheeks a little over a week ago, and it's now spread to little read bumps behind his ears and down his neck. Looks like eczema to me - I'm all too familiar with it since I have it. I read it usually shows up at 3 months in those exact areas...ugh.

It's improved with limiting baths to every few days (sad, bc LO loves them and it was part of our bedtime routine) and moisturizing with an unscented lotion. Just wanted to see if anyone has any products they have used for their LOs eczema and work well.

Thanks!

Re: Eczema?

  • Aquaphor, Eucerin, plain dove unscented bar soap for baths, Alpha Keri oil (lather on while still damp after bath!).... hydrcortisone or rx steroid cream for flare-ups.... bactroban rx for open wounds from scratching.

  • Our DS has eczema, too. Our pedi recommended Cetaphil RESTORADERM cleanser and moisturizer. It has been working.

  • Hi! Just checking if there's any allergy involved? My baby has eczema too, but I bathe her daily because bathing helps to remove irritants that may trigger her eczema too..moisturize within 3 minutes of shower.

  • This doesn't help the face but we have been keeping our boy in his jammies all day so his skin isn't exposed and very greasy. It has eliminated spots on his legs and back.
  • While LOs eczema was so bad we needed a prescription topical cream, our pediatrician recommended using Averno Eczema lotion between applicatios.
  • I talk about this product ALL the time, but I use CapriClear.  It's all natural and its a spray clear moisturizer.  It's great, it takes the redness and the itch out of your eczema.  It doesn't cure it, just helps relieve the pain that come
