Check Question

One of DH's elderly relatives sent us a check as a gift for the birth of our LO. They made the check payable to LO. Will we have a problem depositing the check in our account? Is there anything we need to take to the bank when depositing the check so we don't have a problem?

Sorry if this is a silly question, as a FTM I've never dealt with this before and I don't want to go to the bank unprepared.
