When is your shower?

I'm curious, how far along will you be when you have your shower?

Have you set a date yet? Two friends are throwing me a shower and we're trying to pick a date - it's between May 11 and June 1 or 2. I'll be 32 weeks for the May date and 35 weeks for the second date. I think traditionally it's supposed to be a month prior to your due date. I'd rather not be just a month away from when I'm due, but I also don't want it to be strangely early.

One is April 28, the other is June 22 (I'm due July 14.) It feels like the first is too soon and the second is too late, but it's the only dates that worked for mine & DH's family, so that's when they are.

Good to read all these replies! Seems like most are somewhere between 1 to 2 months before EDD. I'm at high risk of preterm birth, but don't want to plan for the worst, so we're going with June 1. Positive thoughts!
