XP: double stroller or piggy back ride-on

We have a 3 month old and an almost 3 year old. We have the UppaBaby Vista and are trying to decide what to do as far as strollers go. I am positive my 3 yr old will NOT sit in the rumble seat b/c of the poor view, also looks kind of tight on space for him. I think he might like the ride on, but not sure how helpful that will be if we are in a store and he takes off (he's a runner!) so we are contemplating a traditional double. I like the bumbleride indie twin, but its a lot of $ and Id hate to buy and not get much use out of it. I also wonder how I'd like a side by side stroller? Any advice?

Thanks!

  • Have you considered the Baby Jogger City Select? We use it for our 6 month old and 2 1/2 year old. Very versitile in terms of seating options (for 1 or 2 kids) and I like that it's not as wide as side-by-side.  Love it!

  • If I were you, I would make do with the vista. I don't think your preschooler will be using a stroller much longer. Can you put baby in the rumble seat or wear baby in a carrier? Maybe in a few months your older child will be ready for the ride on. <
  • I have the phil and Ted navigator and love it ! The only down side to this stroller is the lack of storage but we have saddle bags which helps . It's super light IMO and easy to maneuver wherever you are. There are many strollers like our out there thoug
  • I just bought the uppababy vista with rumble seat and piggy back board for new baby and DD1 who is almost 3.  I got to try it out at Buy Buy Baby store which helped with decision.  I figure she can use the rumble seat for the first 6 months a
