Oh, my MIL...

So, one of DH's aunts (his dad's SIL) wasn't able to come to our baby shower since they live out of town, but his uncle was in town this past weekend dropping their son off at the airport, so he stopped by my IL's house to drop off a present for us, which was very thoughtful of them. Anyway...MIL opened it! Not while they were there, not DH opened it when he went to pick it up, MIL opened it! I mean..I know she's an overbearing, controlling person (and that's putting it nicely), but, seriously? She's going to open our present? How old is she, 5?

I know it's a petty thing to complain about, but...seriously? C'mon....

    A good friend of mine and his girlfriend didn't come to our shower because I had made the fatal mistake of planning it on her birthday (I didn't realize I needed to check with everyone invited to make sure that day was ok beforehand). I couldn't tell i

    That's awful, when I got married I put my cards in a locked box and made certain they went home with my family because I just knew MIL would open our cards. So if she had a present I'm certain she would've done the same. Why must mils be so awful?
