2 washing Qs

How many used prefolds do you wash at one time?

When I prepped them, three dozen washed up just fine, but they weren't dirty.. .. I have a large front loader, if that makes a difference?

Also, I read on a blog a few years ago about using Simple Green household cleaner to treat stains. I was thinking about using this on poo diapers to prevent stains. I dont want to order any fancy stuff if I can use that instead. Has anyone heard this? Bad idea?

    I stick to the no more than 15-20 diapers in wash at one time rule.  That means no more than 15-20 prefolds + 15-20 covers.  (15 if they are larger prefolds 20 for the NB and infant ones)

    We have 36 prefolds and 4 covers. We wash every other day and usually have about 68 clean diapers while the others are in the wash. Thought this info might help.
