c-sec in less than 40 hours!!

So ready for my little man to be out but really nervous about being in the hospital :-( trying my hardest to mentally prepare myself for this but every hour that goes by the more anxious I get. I keep focusing on "I'm gonna feel so much better once he's out" between the back pain and pelvic pain not to mention I feel like a beached whale, so looking forward to feeling normal again!! Any advice?

I had an unplanned c-section because I wouldn't progress past 7 cm and the baby's heart rate dipped twice. I had NEVER had any major surgery before my c-section.

I was so "drugged up" I barely remember the c-section. It was like I was in another world. On another planet. I was really loopy. Before I knew it they were walking the baby past me to wash him up. Then they brought him to my husband to hold for me to see. I was still loopy and couldn't believe he existed at that moment.

But here I am 9 days later and I will tell you. I am soooo happy to not be pregnant anymore. Even with c-section recovery, I still feel better than I did when I was pregnant. So it is definitely worth looking forward to. Especially if youdidn't have a smooth or pleasant pregnancy.

It's a win-win situation. You won't be pregnant anymore and best of all your LO will be in your arms instead! :-)
