For his first birthday I'm looking at a soft rocker. By rockabye. Im sure you know they are pricey. If you have bought a rocker does your child even use it? yes or no.. Is it worth it?
My son loves rocking but he prefers the plastic horse one from Little Tikes, which I think is way more stable because he really gets rocking like crazy and it has a seat back to stabilize him. I had him try out one of the Rockabye ones at a mom to mom sale and it's a much shorter base and I could tell he'd flip it. We had another smaller rocker that he flipped so I'm ubersensitive to it now!
My son has a soft rocker from rockabye. It's one of my favorite things because it doesnt look plastic and junky. My son loves it too, but goes through phases with it like all of his toys. I have to hit the buttosn for him to get the music to play because he doesn't get that. And sometimes he rocks forward and his belly hits the button and turns the music off mid song. Those would be my only complaints, but no big deal really. He has a pirate ship and he loves playing with the little treasure chest on the back too.
We bought ours discounted on Zulily - I still see them come up on there every so often. Overall, I'm glad we bought it for him because I think we could pass it down to future kids too.
