DD is Ivy, and we are having a boy this time around. I posted a while back about likening the names Patrick and Phillip to go with Ivy, but I am having second thoughts because I don't like the NNs. So looking at names with no nicknames (which was one of our naming criteria when naming DD) , I really like the names Ian and Adam, but would Ivy and Ian be too matchy, and when you see Ivy and Adam, does it automatically make you think Adam and Eve? What do you think?

Yes!
Hmm...I'm not sure what I think of Ivy and Ian. I really like Ian (better than Adam), and I don't think that Ivy and Ian sound matchy at all, but maybe they look a little matchy? Eh, I'd probably use it anyway.
I do not think of Adam and Eve with Adam and Ivy.
For Ian if I just heard the names and didn't see the kids, I'd probably think they were twins. Not a bad thing, though.
I don't think of Adam and Eve.
I prefer the name Ian.
and I'm totally with you on Patrick... I love the name but don't like the nn Pat.
