I definitely have! I picked a date - Jan 1st, a theme - Winter "ONEderland, have a ton of stuff book marked on etsy, a guest list & some food/menu ideas. Am I out of control or are others doing the same?
I just feel like her having a holiday bday, I need to be on the ball with planning, shopping etc...
Re: have you started thinking/planning 1st bday?
Love your ONEderland idea!
I've started doing some rough brainstorming, but I haven't really gone whole hog yet. Come January, I'm sure it'll be the project on my mind. All I know for now is that I want to do some kind of princess theme and have one of those cakes that looks like a castle. (We call her Princess P, so it fits.)
Piper, 4/10/10
Connor, 3/16/15
Morgan, EDD 9/22/16
Only in terms of what we might get her for Christmas, because that and her birthday are only just over a month apart.
I need to start making rough plans, because if I don't, I'm sure MIL will get involved at some point!
Your idea is so cute!
I haven't really gave it much thought. I have to get through Christmas first then on to his birthday.
Thanks!
I am not too worried about the date, because it is mostly immediate family, a large group of immediate family, but family! I am also considering Sunday the 2nd though.
I've also started planning! It's such a big milestone!
LOL @ the fondant! GL!!
Same theme and right about the same level of progress...my biggest thing is trying to find a venue. Unless I bite the bullet and have the floors redone in my house, there is no way we can have it there. I'm not having a buch of kids with food, cake, candy etc on my lame carpeted floors.
Yes! thinking, but not much doing at thispoint. I have however ordered a dress off etsy with a cupcake an one candle with her name. So, im thinking cupcake theme
We will prob just have family over and a few friends, while I want it to be a big deal, I want her to have fun and not be too overwelmed with people. I love love love party planning though, so of course Ive been thinking about it for a while!
Anyone doing a special gift? Ive been thinking a baby cuff engraved, more to "always treasure" than to wear much.
We are doing the exact same theme! We are going to have snowflake and snowmen cupcakes. DD's cake will be a snowflake! We are doing a hot chocolate bar with a bunch of fun toppings. Not sure what food items we are doing yet though! Probably some finger foods/comfort apps as we will do her party around 1:00 and we don't want to spoil anyone's dinner!
LOVE your siggy!! What a cutie!
I am struggling with the venue too. We recently moved back to NY and are renting a small home for awhile and there is no way I have enough room. My mom volunteered her home, so that is an option.
