I know they said the liquid laundry detergent wouldn't really be as runny as the store-bought kind, but of what consistency should it be exactly? My batch's texture turned out to be thicker than a can of cranberry sauce. Not matter how much I stir it it doesn't seem to break apart well, making it difficult to measure & dispense.
I was going to just scoop it straight out of the 5-gallon bucket, is this why they suggest putting it in smaller containers & shaking before pouring? Or should I water it down even further as some recipes suggested?
Re: homemade laundry detergent- supposed to be this chunky?
Sorry, my homemade detergent is in powder form so I can help you there. Maybe some other moms here have a suggestion for you.
P.S. Your siggy pic is adorable!

Hmmm...maybe if I put less borax in next time? I made powdered before, but wanted to try liquid because it took so long to make the powdered- I made the bulk version of the recipe. I work full-time so I try to mass produce as many things as I can to save time in the long run
Have you tried using a food processor to grind the soap? It is so much easier and quicker and it cleans out really easily since it is soap.
