Anybody read Gone Girl?

I'm about half way through and I seriously don't like either of these characters. They both seem like selfish asshats. It's ok so far...I guess I was expecting more since it seems so popular.

Has anyone read it,thought the same and the book actually gets better? I only get about 20 minutes an evening after Connor is in bed and REALLY want to enjoy my downtime,thanks!

    Is that the one where the wife goes missing? Every other chapter is either from the husband or wife's point of view?
    If so .... I liked the book at first but it did piss me off from middle to end.

    Yes,this is the one.I was hoping I might like/care about these people as the book progressed.I was hoping to hear it got better. I'll finish though,I've come this far.

    I thought it was suspenseful, but I hated the characters.  I yelled at the book at the end because of the ending.
