That's really not something that would bother me. DH spells our daughter's nickname Livy, I spell it Livi and a friend of ours spells it Livvie.
DH and I also spell our dog's name differently (Baylie vs Baylee - in this case, I win since I filled out all her vet paperwork)
Name misspelling in one of my biggest pet peeves. I feel like people spell their name a certain way and that is how is should be spelled. Name spelling is not up for debate or interpretation to me. Probably comes from years working in childcare, schools, etc. and seeing names spelled all kinds of ways.

I feel bad but I still have to look some of my cousins up on facebook to double check the spellings of their names before I send them invitations to events. Sorry Cortney (Courtney?) Marly (Marley?) and Tamera (Tamara?)
At least she is not spelling it Abbey because that would be even more annoying since that's a church, not a name. Good luck! Every once in awhile my oldest, Brett, gets "Bret" like Bret Michaels and Ian got a card addressed to "Liam" when he was first born. At least it was a British sounding name? haha
I hate when people call my munchkin Dominique its pronounced an ick not an eek .. eek is a girl in Europe and I have only ever seen one Dominique that was male here and my son aint black... lol

I hear what you're saying and I'm sure DD will have a way she wants it spelled but since its a nickname it's not a big deal to me. If someone were spelling her first name incorrectly, that would irritate me.

I seriously want to kick her.
I may be overly sensitive to this as one of my mom's cousins still calls me Julia not Julie.
