When is the pulling/tugging/aching and CM NOT normal?

This evening I've had a lot of achy type pains in the girlfriend/cervix parts. I'm not sure what is stretching and growing and when I should get concerned. I know there is a lot going on in there and I am so worried about this bean not being in it for the long haul!

I've also had a lot of cm tonight.. sorry tmi.. but is anyone else experiencing this?

Re: When is the pulling/tugging/aching and CM NOT normal?

  • I went through the same thing last night and it worried me a bit. The cramping was pretty low and it was painful. I summed it up to gas cramps. I am getting the aching too, though.

As far as I understand it's normal to have pinching, aching and pulling in that area for awhile.

  • You're fine! I have had it and baby is still sitting in chilling out.
  • I never expected the cramping. It is so unsettling. No bleeding, but for the past few days I cramp almost like a period. It is just achy. My lower back is sore too. I'm worried.
  • I get cramping too. I'm taking it as a sign that all is well because it doesn't hurt and I'm not bleeding. I had lots of creamy cm last night too. We are due the same day!

  • I feel like ever since I found out I was pregnant, I've had bad cramps, gas and lower back aches. I've read the symptoms are completely normal!
I'm at 5w5d and the cramps have gone away mostly but now I'm sometimes feeling nauseous. :
  • Last night I had terrible cramps. While they weren't as bad as my normal period cramps these ones still were very uncomfortable. If I rolled onto my side that helped a bit. Hope it goes away for you soon!
  • I was worried last week with the same things. I checked it out on WebMD and found this:

    Spotting and Cramping

A few days after conception, the fertilized egg attaches itself to wall of the uterus. This can cause one of the earliest signs of pregnancy -- spotting and, sometimes, cramping.

That's called implantation bleeding. It occurs anywhere from six to 12 days after the egg is fertilized.

The cramps resemble menstrual cramps, so some women mistake them and the bleeding for the start of their period. The bleeding and cramps, however, are slight.

Besides bleeding, a woman may notice a white, milky discharge from her vagina. That's related to the thickening of the vagina's walls, which starts almost immediately after conception. The increased growth of cells lining the vagina causes the discharge.

This discharge, which can continue throughout pregnancy, is typically harmless and doesn't require treatment. But if there is a bad smell related to the discharge or a burning and itching sensation, tell your doctor so they can check on whether you have a yeast or bacterial infection.

Hope that helps. I felt better afterwards. I just kept expecting that the tests were wrong and I was going to start my period. I'm so glad that didn't happen. Good luck!

  • I have had cramping off and on for the last few weeks. My doctor didn't seem concerned. I hope you start feeling better soon.
