1st Trimester

Low rising HCG

Hi all. I am currently 4 weeks 6 days pregnant. This is my second pregnancy and I went from elated to deflated. I am a control freak and as soon as I found out I was pregnant 12 DPO I ordered a blood test. I tested one day after my missed period and my number came back at 48. I was disappointed but also know that it just needs to double within 4872 hours. I did a repeat test 48 hours later and my number was only 62. That's about a 30 increase. I am just beside myself. Does anyone have any success stories? My doctor doesn't seem worried and I retest tomorrow, but with my daughter I quadrupled in 72 hours with her HCG and I just feel hopeless.

  • 30 percent and 48/72 hours. Not sure why that didn't come through lol.

Be patient and hang in there.  I have seen all kinds of levels low and high, slow and fast rising, on these boards.

  • And each pregnancy is different! I'm sure everything is good. Just taking a little longer that's all!

  • Did they order another test? I think that would be the way to go.

    Good luck

  • I am testing again tomorrow. So fingers crossed. :
  • I was a slow riser.  14,000 to 18,000, three days later 33,000... now baby is 10weeks and 6 days with a cute little heart beat at 138bpm.
  • My betas have been similar. Some people just double slower than others. My first beta was 42. Second 58, third 96.9, dr said no more betas, first u/s friday. Unfortunately its all a waiting game. They like to see 66% rise in 48 hours. mine didnt ad they told me to prepare for the worst after the second, then I got the third and they are much happier. Hoping to see a little bean on friday.
