How do you curl your eyelashes?

I use a spoon, and my friend said it was the weirdest thing she had ever seen (I'm guessing she doesn't go out much, LOL). I don't like eyelash curlers because the curl never lasts, and it gives them kind of like a "square" curl. I never thought using a spoon was weird. What do you use to curl them (if you do)?

  • I really don't anymore, just mascara. I have never heard of someone using a spoon, how does that even work?

I learned how to when I first started using makeup. The tricky thing is to find the right spoon (I use a very flat one). All of my friends to whom I've shown how to do it are now spoon converts.

  • I use a reg curler, they scare me though. They look like those toucher chambers from the medieval times.

  • I feel I need to clarify... I don't go around picking up just any spoon and curling my eyelashes... I keep one in my cosmetic case... I'm just saying this because I noticed the girl in the video writing about how you can find a spoon to curl your eyelashes anywhere...

  • I use the regular curler but I do it in about 3 places on my lashes so its curved and not squarelike. I've got long lashes though.

  • mine do that too, I have streaks on my sunglasses from putting them on as I walked to work.

  • I'm a huge fan of my trusty Shu Uemura eyelash curler. I use it even if I'm not wearing any makeup- makes such a huge difference.

Use the same one, so bummed they do not sell them in the US anymore.

I use a curler, crimping once at the base and once about halfway up the lashes.  I do this before putting my mascara on.

This is how I do it too.

  • I don't bother with eyelash curlers. My eyelashes have enough of a natural curl. I just use mascara to emphasize the curl.

  • Just a regular old lash curler.  Boring!

Agreed! They occasionally run free shipping promos on their site, so I wait until then to buy anything I want :(

  • I curl them right after I wash my face, while they're still wet. The curl holds much better. Then I do mascara later once they're dry.

  • I either don't or I use a regular old Bobbi Brown curler.
  • I use an eye lash curler but I warm it up real quick with my hair dryer, like the same affect as a curling iron! Works well!
