Anyone have the Diono RXT?

we had the previous version (Sunshine Kids XTSL) and I was in a car accident the other day. I was rear ended. The girls weren't with me but the insurance company said they don't want to risk it because of the rear end collision and to replace with the new version.

So we did and we installed the seats. The belts are as tight as can be and so is the tether (they are both forward facing now), but for some reason it slips on the seat forward. I read the instructions and have installed these seats in and out of cars a million times. For some reason I can't make it not slip. It doesn't move anywhere when you try to move side to side or pull on the top.

I never had this problem with the old seats and they are almost exactly the same, except they didn't become a full back booster.

Just curious if you have this problem? and what you did about it?

It's been a while since your post so I'm sorry to chime in late. We have a Diono RXT. While it's been almost a year since we put it front-facing, I remember having to really push my weight into the car seat in order to totally get the belts tightened. I had thought they were tightened all the way until I put my knee into it and really pushed down.

Hope this helps. It was definitely not an easy seat to install, as I recall, but it feels more solid than anything I've seen out there. Good luck!
