I know it's really not an exact science but has anyone had experience with this?
I've had several leaps and jumps in my measurements but usually ending up right on time.
I measured 31 almost 32 weeks at my appointment but of course I'm 36 weeks. My MWs were not concerned but as normal I ran off to google what this might mean.
Several things said it could be attributed to the baby dropping into the pelvis and is especially true for tall women (I'm 5'8).
I've firmly believed for weeks / months that I'm having a mammoth-baby that will dwarf my other two 6 and 7 lb babies but I'm now I'm questioning that (not that it's a bad thing to not have a ginormous baby ;-)
Anyway, thoughts, experiences?
Thanks
Re: Fundal Height suddenly measuring behind?
I wouldn't worry about it. At about 35 weeks, my midwives stopped measuring me because they said it was no longer accurate, particularly if the baby dropped.
FWIW, two separate midwives guessed that my baby would be 6 to 6.5 lbs in my last few weeks just by feeling my belly, and they were right. My LO was 6 lbs, 3 oz.
Sounds like baby dropped.
