Speaking of daycare...

Is anyone else EXTREMELY nervous about leaving LO and going back to work? im a FTM, but sometimes it keeps me up at night thinking of someone else caring for him. I only need someone 2-3 times a week but I haven't found someone and I go back in three weeks.

How do you know you're finding someone who wont be texting all day instead of caring for your child?!

End rant.

We just found a gal who was highly recommended by people we know and we had a good feeling when we went and met with her. Sometimes you just have to trust; we will be trusting others with our kids the rest of our lives, grandparents, aunts/uncles, neighbors, teachers, school bus drivers, coaches, etc.

I interviewed a lot of daycares and we found one that seemed to fit and then my mom offered to watch her. But then I am only going back for about a month or so bc I work at a school. It is a hard decision but try to find someone you could ask for a recommendation.

We found someone that my friends highly recommended for in home. She's a little goofy, but she loves DD1 like she was her own grand child, so I'm hoping she'll feel the same way about DD2.

As far as our daycare center goes, we chose one where I knew the administrator. I felt like that way I would always feel like I had someone
on the inside.

Yes! I found a nice place but the thought of her staying there during the day makes me feel sick.

This is why I chose a daycare instead of care in someone's home. I don't trust that a random person wouldn't put her in front of tv all day or something. Daycare facilities have more accountability. P.s. ironically I'm texting this instead of paying attention to my daughter. Although she is content at the moment.

My anxiety was through the roof about this issue until we finally made a plan. My suggestion is to look into local Moms clubs. We have a great one here, and there are always posts for nannys.

i have to go back at the end of march, and we finally decided on a day care....there is one right in dh's complex at work so we get a discount....his co-workers have used it and my sister's neighbor takes her kid there too....it was the only place i looked at but i really liked it and felt very comfortable there.....i also love how close dh will be since i work far away...and my sis lives less than 5 mins away too

but i'm still not looking forward to doing it....

My friend and I just hired a nanny to share, so I'll be dropping DS off at her home while I go back to work part-time. We have a great feeling about our chosen nanny, as she came with many personal recommendations, but if she chooses to text instead of care for our children, my friend will know because her husband bought ALL the bells and whistles for their security system when they moved into their home - including multiple cameras in the common areas. They can see the video feeds from their cell phones. However, I'm fearing the day that I have to leave DS and go back to work. It will be so hard
