A friend of mine just posted a new picture on her FB of her little girl in this contraption....and I had to google it. It's a swim/bath tube thingy that's supposed to help them swim/learn to swim but It looks like a torture device! It's called swimava....

Anyone heard of this, used one or know of someone who used it? It just creeps me out that it goes around their neck!

I have seen it. I think its ridiculous! If you want to swim with a baby why cant you just hold them up?! I really think traditional swimming lessons are more the way to go then a baby head tube. It looks sad, like a puppy with a cone on.

I've only seen it on Tosh.O

We'll get a Puddle Jumper for my toddler this summer, it's like water wings with a chest part too.

Actually,mdevelop,entallyits fantastic. How else canababy move all four limbs independently without the effects of gravity. There are a few different companies that make these but they're extremely beneficial to children with disabilities. This device doesn't teach them how to swim, it simply allows they're body to move completely unrestricted.
